How much will it cost?
Our costs are consistently the lowest because, unlike other companies, we have all the necessary specialist expertise, facilities, hardware, software and laboratory facilities on site, so we never outsource our work to any other company.
My hard disk is inaccessible and making a ticking noise! What is it?
This type of failure is more common on laptop hard disk drives and fortunately the data if often recoverable from this situation. Often, the drive will not be recognized in the BIOS and it's important that you power the drive down and keep it that way as repeatedly turning it on in this condition may cause further damage. Further information on this disk fault and possible data recovery options can be found at Stellar Data Solution Pvt. Ltd.
What if I recover deleted file to the same hard drive where it was located? Are there any risks?
OS considers deleted files as just free space on the drive, so with any write operations to that partition or disk here is always the probability of loosing these files forever by overwriting them. Restorer2000 performs write operations in cases saving recovered files and images. Therefore it's not recommended to restore files or an image into the same partition. In case of recovering a physical drive you must recover and save the information to another physical hard drive.
What is hard drive data recovery?
The unimaginable happens. You were clicking merrily along on your keyboard when the screen went blank. Perturbed, you rebooted the computer. Panic hasn't set in yet — then the computer impassively informs you that no hard drive can be found. If you use computers for any length of time, this situation is likely to happen to you. Most likely, it will happen to you while you're in the middle of an urgent project. This is when hard drive recovery comes in.
What To Do In The Event Of Data Loss?
Around 44% of all data loss is caused by hardware failure. It's important to make sure that you immediately shut your system down if you suspect that hard drive has crashed. Don't even try to go through the shutdown procedure, just pull the plug from the wall. Do not try to run off the shelf data recovery software or drive utilities. Many times these applications will assume the drive is functioning properly and will increase the risk of permanent data loss.
What does the term "RAID" stand for?
The term RAID is short for a "Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks" (or a "Redundant Array of Independent Disks"). A RAID is a collection of disk drives that are grouped together and accessed based on a pre-set configuration to provide data mirroring, striping or redundancy, or some combination thereof.
What is meant by the term "JBOD"?
"Just a Bunch Of Disks", or JBOD, is not really a RAID configuration. The term refers to hard drives that are concatenated (combined or "spanned") to create a large volume. A JBOD configuration provides no real performance benefits or fault tolerance, but it does allow for total usage of all the available space on each disk.
How many different levels of RAID are there?
RAID levels represent different configurations providing varying amounts of speed and fault tolerance. RAID levels currently defined are RAID 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 50 (or RAID 5+0), 100 (or RAID 10+0), and RAID 0+1. The most widely used are RAID levels 0, 1, and 5.
How to get rid of virus?
Today there are a variety of things that can infect your computer such as viruses, worms, trojans and spyware. I refer to all of them as parasites since that word seems to best describe them. Viruses were the first computer bugs, and anti-virus (AV) software was made specifically to detect and get rid of these. I use Mcafee software programs to find and get rid of them.
How to get rid of Trojan horse virus?
In today's computer world, a Trojan horse is defined as a "malicious, security-breaking program that is disguised as something benign. NEVER download blindly from people or sites which you aren't 100% sure about. In other words, as the old saying goes, don't accept candy from strangers. If you do a lot of file downloading, it's often just a matter of time before you fall victim to a trojan. Even if the file comes from a friend, you still must be sure what the file is before opening it, because many trojans will automatically try to spread themselves to friends in an email address book or on an IRC channel.
What is mywife virus?
W32/MyWife.d@MM!M24 is a mass mailing virus that contains its own SMTP engine to construct outgoing messages, has the ability to spread through open network shares, attempts to lower security settings, disables security software, and overwrites files. The threat activates the third of every month, starting tomorrow, February 3rd. The worm harvests addresses from local files and then uses the harvested addresses to send itself, producing a message with a spoofed "From" address.
